Abstract
This paper discusses modern solutions in the field of automatic motor starting and protection devices, which play an important role in industrial devices to ensure safe and reliable operation. The application of sensors in automatic starting and protection systems that measure various physical parameters such as position, distance, temperature and others and convert them into signals for further processing. Also as modern solutions in the devices of automatic starting and protection systems of electric motors the application of microcontrollers, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), IoT (Internet of Things) is considered.
